I am Tim Hickey, a Professor of Computer Science at Brandeis University. I've been teaching 3D Game Design using Blender to non-CS major college students for 2-3 years and am very interested in trying to help grow the Blender Game Design community.
I use blender exclusively now. I have also used cinema4d, I've programmed in OpenGL, and I've build raytracers from scratch.
These days I do mostly real-time 3D content
It was a great idea to start this group and I hope to help it grow in the coming year....

Prof. Hickey, Welcome to the Boston Blender Users Group! I share your interest in using the Blender Game Engine. Would you consider giving a presentation on it at a Blender Users Group meeting?
Hi Tim,
I thoroughly enjoy 3d modeling, animation, screenwriting, and indie filmmaking. I'm contemplating how I might implement Blender 3D at the local community college where I work. I think it will be easier to offer small, non-credit classes through the continuing education department to see if there is a viable audience for 3d modeling and animation.
